A bill introduced into the US Congress would establish a small claims tribunal for copyright cases, offering individual creators locked out of the existing federal court system an affordable and fair means to protect their copyrights.

Beijing 2022 Olympics

Collaborative processes were involved for both the creation and selection of the final logos for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Beijing (BOCOG) 2022. In this article, winning logo designer Lin Cuzhen shares her process and ico-D interviews a member of the selection committee.

New Member

Shenzhen City of Design Promotion Association (SDPA) is part of the Creative Cities Network (CCN) programme launched by UNESCO and runs several core design projects including Shenzhen Global Design Award (SDA). ico-D welcomes SDPA as a New Member.

Special Meeting Report

The ico-D Special Meeting of Design Weeks/Biennales, Design Cities and Design Museums was a valuable opportunity for international entities to share successful programmes, experiences, and best practices as well as determine how the international design community can better collaborate to achieve mutual goals and tackle shared challenges. The Special Meeting was conducted in Montréal (Canada) on 21 October 2017 at the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts, bringing together representatives of 15 organisations from ten different countries.

ico-D is pleased to announce to all Members and to our Community that the ico-D Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the ico-D Platform Meeting (PM) will take place in Beijing (China) in September 2018. The events will be hosted by ico-D Member Central Academy of Fine Arts of China—CAFA.

2018 Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA) is scheduled to be launched on 07 March 2018 and will continue on its mission to help students transition from the world of learning into the world of doing.

ico-D Events

The next ico-D Regional Meeting will take place in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) in February 2018 for design entities in the ASEAN countries. Hosted by ico-D Member The Graphic Designers Association of Malaysia (wREGA), the objective of this meeting is to bring design entities from around South East Asia together to discuss a variety of topics.
